MPPS v18 (Multi-Performance Tuning Suite) is a standalone ECU (Engine Control Unit) read and write interface for chiptuning, designed for automotive technicians and remapping enthusiasts. The tool allows reading and writing flash memory / EEPROM directly through the OBD2 diagnostic connector.

Key Features and Technical Specifications

• Automatic Checksum Calculation: Includes automatic checksum calculation for supported engine computers (such as Bosch, Marelli, Delco, Siemens), preventing ECU lockout during writing.
• Tricore & Boot Mode Support: Allows working in Tricore Boot Mode (for microprocessors TC1762, TC1766, TC1796 etc.), useful when rewriting through the OBD2 port is blocked or unavailable.
• Automatic ECU Detection: Automatically identifies the computer type and processor model upon connection.
• Extended Compatibility: Covers a wide range of petrol and diesel vehicles, especially European brands (VAG Group – VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, as well as BMW, Opel, Fiat, Alfa Romeo).

Main Uses

• Chiptuning & Remapping (Stage 1 / Stage 2): Reading the original file from the ECU, modifying engine maps and writing optimized software back to the computer.
• Special Software Modifications: Cancelling or modifying error codes (DTC), DPF, EGR or Immo Off for motorsport-oriented vehicles.

System and Hardware Requirements

• Housing and Connectivity: OBD2 cable on one end and USB connector for laptop on the other.
• Operating System: Works optimally on Windows 7 (32/64 bit) or Windows 10. Manual driver installation from Device Manager is recommended and temporary antivirus deactivation during installation is suggested.

Writing Caution: During the reading or writing process on the vehicle, battery voltage must be stable (connecting a quality rectifier is recommended). A voltage drop during writing can permanently damage the engine control unit (ECU).
