6HP Display Description
1.5” OLED display for the BMW 6HP transmission, with a reverse light output. The display connects to the CAN wires and reads the data stream from the transmission controller (and the ECU in some cases). The display is programmable for CAN addresses and speeds.
This module extends the standard black-and-white display with additional hardware. There is a low-voltage MOSFET switch on this module, which is activated when the transmission is in reverse. It supports up to 10 amps, so in most cases you can simply connect the reverse light ground-switch wire directly to the module. If you need more than 10 amps, use this output to drive an external relay.
This module also contains voltage-sensing circuitry for the 12V connection, so the display can show you the battery voltage in real time.
Please note that this item is a simple display meant to be integrated into the dash, etc. If you need to mount it in a 52mm gauge pod or on the dash, you will need a bezel, which we sell separately.
